Until her retirement, Dr Catherine Alexander was a Fellow of the Shakespeare Institute in Stratford on Avon (a postgraduate department of the University of Birmingham) where she retains an Honorary position. She has worked with the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, the International Shakespeare Association and the English Association, has written extensively on Shakespeare and lectured worldwide.
