Patrick Crouch is a sculptor who uses traditional materials and traditional tools, sculpting in wood and stone. Many of his sculptures are inspired by the human form. Their size varies from sculptures you can hold in the palm of your hand to mammoth creations carved out of tonnes of solid Portland stone. He has a particular affinity with wood, liking the way that he can see it growing in the Kentish landscape and the way that its strengths and weaknesses are apparent.
Patrick teaches at the Kent School of Architecture at the University of Kent at Canterbury and also at Canterbury College where he is the Director of Pure Form, an independent sculpture group.
Pure Form held an exhibition at Linden Hall Studio in July 2015.
