Will Scott is a fourth year student at the Royal College of Music, studying classical guitar with Gary Ryan and Chris Stell and jazz guitar as second study with Milton Mermikides. He has taken part in master classes with internationally renowned guitarists such as John Williams and Craig Odgen.
Originally from Tunbridge Wells, Will began playing the electric guitar at the age of nine and with encouragement from Jimmy Page, took up the classical guitar, aged eleven. As a music scholar at Bethany School he studied with Andrew Keeping, achieving a distinction in his ATCL diploma. During his school years, Will played in Guitar Circus, one of the UK’s most prestigious youth guitar ensembles. He also played electric guitar with Kent Youth Jazz Orchestra.
During his time at the Royal College of Music, Will has continued to perform solo at private and corporate events such as weddings and City dinners and recorded soundtracks for BBC television. Will has played at prestigious venues such as Kings Place, the South Bank Centre and the National Portrait Gallery. He has also played in musicals across London, including West Side Story, Billy Elliot and We Will Rock You. Will plays for the RCM big band and swing band and is a member the Meraki guitar quartet.
