Winter Group Show 2017 – Terms and Conditions

1.  Sales of Exhibited Work

Prices of exhibited work will only be visible in the gallery.  

Exhibited work offered for sale by the artist(s) during the exhibition will be subject to a 40% commission charge.

Payments made using the ‘Own Art Scheme’ or a credit card will be subject to a 3% charge.

All sales and transactions of exhibited work will be handled by LHS; information details of collectors/buyers will be passed to the artist(s).

All payments received for work sales will be received by LHS directly.

 

Within 21 days of the exhibition closing date all payments received by LHS for sales of exhibited work, will be paid in full by LHS into the bank account of the artist(s) less commission and charge card costs.

 

2.  Private View

The Private View to be held on Saturday 2nd December 2017 between 12pm and 4pm.

Linden Hall Studio will be providing the catering, staffing and invigilating for the private view.

 

3.  LHS Premises

LHS exhibition opening hours are 10am – 4pm Tuesday to Saturday inclusive.  Sunday 11am -2pm.

Smoking is not permitted within LHS premises.

Artists to arrange delivery of pre-selected artwork to LHS on Tuesday 28th November 2017.

Artists to arrange collection of unaccepted artwork from LHS on Friday 1st December 2017.

Artists to arrange collection of unsold artwork on Monday 29th January 2018.

All other delivery and collection arrangements must be agreed with LHS in advance.

LHS and the artist(s) must not cover, handle or endanger LHS artworks or any other artworks on the premises.

Artists are encouraged to publicise their exhibition in addition to the publicity which the gallery provides.

 

4.  Insurance

Artist(s) will be responsible for the insurance of their own property against all risks and shall fully indemnify LHS against all actions, claims, demands, in respect of personal injury or damage to property and financial loss resulting from anything done or omitted by the artist(s).

LHS will not be held liable for any damage, loss, theft of artwork of personal item of the artist(s) or any third party during the period of the exhibition.

 

5.  Fire and Safety

LHS will be responsible for providing relevant fire extinguishers approved by licensing authorities and ensure safety facilities comply with appropriate Health and Safety Legislation.

LHS will provide up to date risk assessment in consideration of fire and health and safety relevant to the exhibition space.

 

6.  Winter Group Show

 

Artists submitting work for this exhibition must be over the age of 18.
Artwork must have been completed from 2015 onwards and not have been exhibited elsewhere.
Artists choosing to submit one work, the maximum size is limited to 90cm x 70cm.  Artists choosing to submit two works; one larger work size limited to 90cm x 70cm with a second work having a size limit of 50cm x 50cm (both sizes including frame).
All artwork must be for sale.  All artwork selected for the Winter Group Show must be kept within the gallery for the entirety of the exhibition.

There is no guarantee that submitting work or being pre-selected, secures a place in the exhibition.

The Winter Group Show exhibition will be open for public viewing from Sunday December 3rd 2017, through to Sunday 28th January 2018 (Tuesday – Saturday 10am – 4pm, Sunday 11am – 2pm), with a Private View to be held at the gallery on Saturday 2nd December 2017 between 12pm and 4pm.

The curation/hanging of the show will be overseen by LHS.
